According to your ALSA output, certain mixer channels are muted on your pc.

Please unmute the following mixer channels in alsamixer or gnome-alsamixer:

Master volume
Front volume
Surround
Center
LFE

If unmuting those channels does not help, then please also send us the output from step 4 from the following procedure:

The problems was solved yesterday by un-muting the above mentioned chanels, as you recommend
