Codec + Mixer: Cirrus Logic CS4299 rev 6 - card 0: I82801CAICH3 [Intel 82801CA-ICH3], device 0: Intel ICH [Intel 82801CA-ICH3] - Multimedia audio controller [0401]: Intel Corporation 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio Controller [8086:2485] (rev 02) - ALSA driver and library are not the same version + ALSA intel8x0.c:545: codec_semaphore: semaphore is not ready [0x1][0x300100] error message in dmesg -> sound not working after upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10
updated to 9.10 and can't get audio to work with Intel 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio Controller
tried to install ALSA 1.0.21 but the library and utilities would not install.
I'm guessing I have to have this before continuing troubleshooting.
