sound problem in kde

Recently I installed all the packages of kde 4 in ubuntu 9.04 jaunty jacklope then i Switched the season from gnome to kde.
All works fine . I can hear the startup sound also but when I play music only the streaming happens but i can't hear any sound I can play video alsi but there also i can't hear any sound i can see only thepicture?
Can you please kindly suggst me what to do?I have installed all the packages of gstreasmer also?

No still i can't fix the problem. I haven't upgraded from jaunty to karmic I have just installed all the kde 4 in ubuntu jaunty

sudo alsa force-reload

Thank you the problem is solved now. It detected two sound drivers that were capturing the sound card i closed them and now i can hear the start up sound. Thank you very much
