I tried to upgrade to Alsa 1.0.21 following the instructions provided, and the upgrade apparently didn't happen.

I succeeded in installing the Alsa 1.0.21 file, and now get sound for internet connections (you tube) and from Audacity Recordings on my hard drive, including mp3s imported into Audacity. However, I get no sound from MP3 files on the hard drive or from CDs.

Can you help with this problem?
