mic not working on skype and in sond recorder in ubuntu 9.10

acer aspire one D150 . mic is not workin with skype and sound recorder

Is this with linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic installed (you'll need to
reboot)?

Sound not working in Skype is an easy fix therefore not a bug. In the true sense it's a setting in the skype menu.

A have problem to.
Use front mic
------------
sudo modprobe -r snd-hda-intel
sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel
------------

Add this line in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base

options snd-hda-intel model=acer (model)
reboot
and then use alsamixer
