No sound in Ubuntu 9.04

I've installed Ubuntu 9.04 on an Acer PC, that was previously using Windows Vista. Everything works fine -- except for sound. My sound card is: nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio (rev a2).

Perhaps I need a driver for that card, that works under Ubuntu 9.04?

Help much appreciated.

Please send output from step 3 and step 4 and post it here.

Please also specify the exact model and make of your PC (if possible)
