Sound in speaker not audible for youtube

After lot of help from this forum, i fixed the sound in my Compaq CQ40 laptop. The speaker started working but now i cant hear anything from a youtube video. If i run a CD or movie, i can hear sound but no sound if i play youtube video (either from the speaker or through headphones). I use Ubuntu 9.04.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

I tried the following command and the sound now works for youtube videos :

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree-extrasound

Thanks. It was just a chance encounter with the command while I was searching for something else. I am a novice in Linux and do not know anything about it.

But then....whatever helps....is welcome... :-)
