When I start up GNUsound my computer crashes

I have Audacity installed and installed GNUsound but when I try to run GNUsound my system crashes. Is this a conflict between the two sound editors?

I can confirm that this software crashes the X session when launched in Intrepid, Jaunty or Karmic.
