very low sound on google samus laptop after fresh install of 22.04.3

I need help getting the sound working correctly on my laptop.
Fresh install of 22.04.3 on a google chromebook has extremely low sound output when set at 100%.

If you install and use pavucontrol, does it help?

I installed pavucontrol before posting. It did allow me to increase the volume a tiny bit. Before pavucontrol I would have to hold the laptop to my ear to hear anything. after pavucontrol and 150% setting I can hear it without having to put the laptop to my ear. It is still very very low though.

I found my problem.

When I start "alsamixer -c 1", I found my "Master Front" was very low. After adjusting to maximum the sound is as expected now. I had been observing card 0 instead of card 1.
