"Kernel release: 5.9.0-050900-generic"

This is not the standard Ubuntu kernel (how did you install it?) and I assume that the additional drivers for that kernel version are missing.

My suggestion:
Either install the standard Ubuntu kernel packages or install the additional driver modules for the kernel that you are running.

If you want a kernel that is newer than the standard 5.4 family in focal, there is a supported package delivering the 5.13 version of the kernel, linux-generic-hwe-20.04

I don't think the issue is a missing package, especially if OP had sound working before trying to "fix" it.
The OP must have done something to mess up the included kernel modules (tried to install Realtek driver?). Usually, reinstalling the kernel image packages solves this. If not, trying to boot into a different kernel would be the next step in diagnosis.

Can you help with this problem?
