A problem here was resolved with a different USB cable. Have you tried that?

This sounded like the case to me too since the problem arose when I didn't fully plug the USB port into the PC correctly. I tried different USB cables and the problem remained. I also tried the same cable on Windows and it worked nicely without any issue. The problem is something in the software when I use Ubuntu with this sound interface.

Both didn't apply for my case, I tried to boot from a fresh ubuntu from a USB and everything worked fine. I'll probably back up what I have and get Ubuntu re-installed.

Try this:

open / create the file

.config/pulse/daemon.conf

then make it look like this:

.include /etc/pulse/daemon.conf

default-sample-rate = 48000
alternate-sample-rate = 44100

I still think this is a problem that should be addressed, but this fixes it

I created the file in the ~ directory since that's where the path .config/pulse existed.

I included the configurations you shared, did a reboot, and now everything works just fine!

What other things should I include in the configuration and why didn't this file exist already? I'm trying to understand the problem's source
