Reboot with the device disconnected. Log in and let the OS settle. Press CTRL + ALT +T and run:

lsusb

Then connect the device and ensure it is powered, wait a few seconds then run:

dmesg | tail; lsusb

What is the output please?

Solved:

Restarted audio interface.
Device recognized, but no sound output.

Opened alsamixer, unmute output channels.
Problem solved.
