headphone sound issue on Ubuntu 21.04, no sound on headphones.

Asked by Carmelo Rosario III

I did a full install of Ubuntu 21.04 on my hard drive, dual booting with Kali Linux, in Kali Linux sound works fine on headphones, but on Ubuntu, I get nothing. I've tried several different methods to remedy this, but nothing I've tried has worked. The mic on the headphones shows sounds being heard by the system, but nothing in regards to the earphones playing sound.

Update: I checked the dual boot I have on Kali Linux, and sound over headphones doesn't work on there either. but sound does work on the regular speakers of my laptop.
