Silent output, with occasional bursts of sound

I have Ubuntu 20.04 on an ASUS ZenBook, and recently my audio output no longer works out of my laptop. Usually, I get no sound, but every once in a while I'll get maybe half a second of what I should be hearing, and then back to silence. I've tried most of the steps on the SoundTroubleShooting page, all to no avail.

Audio works through my Bluetooth headphones, and when I boot into Windows the audio also works without problem.

I just followed the instructions on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure again, and my sound issue is now resolved by #1b. Go figure.
