You have given zero information about the system or the release of Ubuntu or what you have tried. Imagine if someone posted that on a Windows forum (I assume you are conversant with Windows), how can anyone possibly reply?

Lets get some information from the system. What is the output of:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh
