Sound not working after kernel upgrade

Asked by Sree Venkatesh on 2018-09-08

I use lattepanda with Intel Atom cherry trail processor. After Ubuntu upgrade from the default 16.04 to 18.04, i had to upgrade the kernel from the default 4.12 to 4.15.xx as the intel realsense camera works only with this kernel. Now, there is no sound through the headphone jack, have been at this problem for many days but unable to resolve from all the existing online solutions. After giving up, logging this question. Can someone please help?

The Alsa info from my local system is stored at http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=3cd7e781964e229537de7a3d0462b7c7708d4f81.

Hi Mark, thanks for the reply. Tried the solution on kernel 4.15 (need this as my depth camera works only of few kernels) but did not solve the problem. I still dont get any audio, the USB speakers work fine though. For now, i am using it.
