Please open a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+t keys combo) and write : alsamixer

You can navigate with arrow keys (left-right) and you can increase / decrease volume using the Arrow keys (up-down). Also you can mute or UN-mute the channels with the 'm' key.

Check there if something is muted [MM]. If yes , then un-mute and increase the volume.

I did what you asked and it looks like I turned everything to maximum, I can still only hear static noises rather than actual sounds from youtube.

The youtube video is definitely playing and I should hear sounds;
I plugged in my audio sound jack into the sound jack input on the case, I tried another input location on the back but that one is silent without any static.

Please try this solution (installing and using pavucontrol) :

Still doesn't work -

1: The configuration for build in audio in my case is already "Analog Stereo Duplex (unplugged)"
2: I even checked alsamixer and turned everthing to maximum, still no actual sounds (other than static)

Is there anything else I should do?

The OS recognizes the sound output, but for some reason I only hear static.

What could be the reason for statics?
