Double-click on the speaker icon and then in the mixer window use the "Preferences" button to add and replace channels as one channel somewhere might we be muted.

If this doesn't work you may need

Good luck and regards from

Having gone thro the community documentation I've found out that I have a VIA 8232 Alsa mixer
I've done somewhat that was suggested.
I've selercted Master, PCM, Front, CD & Via DXS
and most importantly disconnected the Headphones - this was what gives the stutering noise over the speakers
and now IT WORKS

Thank you all for the support.
