This is a software support sight.

You should either go to a motherboard site or tell us what SW you are having trouble with.

Try rebooting the machine. I had a problem with a game that managed to introduce feedback somewhere inside the machine but rebooting fixed it for a while :)

Also try
http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/TroubleShooting

There is a more technical way of restarting you sound but i can't remember it right now.

Tom :)

Go to Menu:

System--->Preferences--->Sounds--->Devices Tab

Change the default selection in the boxes to another, press "Test" button on the right,
if work (you ear a sound) set all boxes to this option, if no work, try other, and other, one of them works.
