emu 0404 driver not yet already

Why the last (the 3 last) version of ALSA are not in UBUNTU and UBUNTU STUDIO???
My EMU 0404 sound card is (for ubuntu) an audygi soundblaster and don't works.
but if we make install with the 3 last alsa driver that works on some computer and don't compile find on the other one computer.

It's verry strange that a ubuntu studio don't know the last alsa driver (the last 3 alsa)

Hey, to use you EMU 0404 PCI card with ubuntu, you need the package alsa-firmware .
Due to licensing issues, this package can not be distributed by ubuntu itself.

But there is a simple and quick way to get that package:
Add the medibuntu-repository to your sources.list and install it.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu
I just had to reboot and it worked for me.
(Just with Intrepid but not yet with Jaunty)
