Very simple...I'm new to linux. I don't know how to configure my hardware manually. I have a soundblaster sound card, but I also have a soundcard on board. How do I disable the one on board and configure the soundblaster soundcard?

With 2 sound cards

If you have 2 sound cards, please try to set your desired default sound card
Open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo asoundconf list
sudo asoundconf set-default-card <name of card>

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Or disable the motherboard embedded sound card entering into your Bios setting you can do it pressing some keyboard key at computer start usually Del or F2 please read your pc handbook or read carefully the message at very first splash screen at boot..

Hope this helps

The "sudo asoundconf list" generates the message "commnand not found"

Can you help with this problem?
