Asked by brian were

Hi I'm new to Ubuntu. I had issues with my sound and tried some online solutions. I think I might have uninstalled some packages or something. Now I the System Settings is not working and my sound is gone. Can someone kindly assist?? Hopefully the below will help.

Ubunu 15.10 is EOL (end of life) and no longer supported in any way.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

I suggest you wipe the currect install off and do a clean install of Xenial (Ubuntu 16.04). Xenial is LTS and supported until April 2021

Can you help with this problem?
