Realtek ALC662 rev3 Can't get popping/crackle out of playback sound.

Tried everything available to me on ask.com. (Where I live, I can't access very many search engines.) I want to use hydrogen to make drum tracks, but the sound is so annoying. It's an occasional crackle/pop whether I use rhythm-box, alsa player or vlc.
