Acer SW5-171: Headphone/Mic jack doesn't recognise microphone

Hello,

I use Acer SW5-171 with freshly installed Ubuntu 15.04. The computer has headphone/mic jack. When I plug in my headset with microphone into this jack, Ubuntu recognises only the headphone but not the microphone.

Apparently the codec is ALC283. I checked it at https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/sound/alsa/HD-Audio-Models.txt . There's an option "headset-mic Indicates a combined headset (headphone+mic) jack". I tried creating /etc/modprobe.d/mic.conf file with contents "options snd_hda_intel model=headset-mic". After rebooting the problem didn't go away.

How can I make Ubuntu recognise the microphone in that headset?
