1 speaker not working in ubuntu 14.04, but is ok in ubuntu 12.04.

Asked by KARL PFISTERER

I am running a multi boot system - Ubuntu 12.04 & 14.04 & Windows XP Professional with a Creative Soundblaster Audigy SE sound card (analog output). Sound is working fine with other OS except with Ubuntu 14.04. When I test the sound in "settings" the front right has no sound. Only one speaker is working in 14.04. Since there are no issues with 12.04 and XP the problem can't be the speakers. The input setting defaults to digital and I have to constantly change it to analog to get any sound. Are there issues with my sound card and 14.04 that I don't know about? If not, how do I resolve this issue.
