Headphone is not working.

I'mm using ubuntu on lenovo and headphone is not supporting. whenever i try to connect headphone it plays sound in headphone as well as in system too.

What is the output of this command:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh --upload

If you press the 3 keys --- CTRL+ALT+T simultaneously, you will be able to open the Terminal. Copy & Paste the command line given above( see #1) in that Terminal.

Hit the ENTER Key. If you are asked password, type the password. If you press the ENTER key you will get an output. Copy & Paste the output in the Message box below.

when i pressed enter key , There was new box asking for would you lik to see uploaded information thein t showd some message in terminal box after that i clickd on exit it gave me ths link ( http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=0942a2ba02ecd4bcdf887bc795cf0bcb3c3656b8)

OK, it seems to me that your hardware is very new. So I believe that Ubuntu 12.04 LTS is too old for your hardware.

I suggest booting Ubuntu 14.10 via a LiveUSB session to see if audio works out-of-the-box in Ubuntu 14.10. If it works, I suggest installing Ubuntu 14.10 to your PC's hard disk.
