PulaeAudio has lost its settings

After the upgrade to 14 my sound output has dropped to the level of a mouse squeak. I open PulaeAudio and the only thing It shows me is the setting for capture "my microphone" there are no other controls like there use to be. Can anyone tell me how to fix this.

What did you upgrade to 14? Alsa versions are a little behind 14...

I started with Ubuntu 12.04 sometime ago "years"and have always done the update through the software update when it shows there was a new version. Last week or so there was an update to Ubuntu 14.04 so I did it. I don't know if this is the answer you are looking for but hope it help.
