sound and video error ubuntu desktop 13.10

Hi,

I recently loaded ubuntu 13.10 on my laptop.
It was working fine till last evening when it music and video started skipping.
Rythmbox and VLC are unable to playback.
No sound is coming and video is just zipping too fast.
Today morning, i faced the same problem while trying to watch a video on youtube.

What is the output of:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh --upload

Copy the command and press CTRL+ALT+T
Paste the command into the terminal and hit ENTER

If you run :

killall pulseaudio; rm -r ~/.config/pulse* ~/.pulse*

You will see an error. This is ok.

Does sound work ok?
