No sound lubuntu12 4

Installed Ubuntu 12 4 and soon went for Lubuntu 12 4 on my old Intel p4 d845 gvsr machine.But after several attempts. I have done so many troubleshooting tests but couldnot resolve the issue.OneSome of the test results are copied below

Please open alsamixer in a Terminal and use alsamixer to unmute and increase volume to 100% on the following mixer channels:

Simple mixer control 'Master Mono',0
Simple mixer control '3D Control - Center',0
Simple mixer control '3D Control - Depth',0
Simple mixer control '3D Control - Switch',0
Simple mixer control 'Line',0
Simple mixer control 'CD',0
Simple mixer control 'Mic',0
Simple mixer control 'Mic Boost ( 20dB)',0
Simple mixer control 'Video',0
Simple mixer control 'Phone',0
Simple mixer control 'IEC958',0
Simple mixer control 'IEC958 Playback AC97-SPSA',0
Simple mixer control 'Aux',0
Simple mixer control 'Mix',0
Simple mixer control 'Mix Mono',0
Simple mixer control 'External Amplifier',0 -> disable this one

Then please test all audio jacks at the front and the back of your PC.

This is waht I get when ran the command.I havent been able to solve my problem yet.Thanks for the support you are giving me.

@Mark Rijckenberg I got alsamixer on terminal but I am afraid I couldnt find all the channels.Any way I tried with the available ones but not out of the ditch yet.Thanks for the support you are giving me.

Maybe your sound profile changed somehow.

Execute pavucontrol in a terminal.

Then change the profile by going to the configuration tab.

Also check the volumes and muteness.

If it is not installed already, install it with sudo apt-get install pavucontrol command.

When I went to pavucontrol config.I find the message:"No cards available for configuraton".Still loking for a solution.

Take another look at the mixer channels in your post #9

The first mixer channel (Master channel) is set at 1% volume.

You need to increase the volume to 100% using the arrow keys.
