There are three headphone holes in my laptop, one is for microphone only, another is for both headphone and microphone, the last is for headphone only. I plug my headphone in the second hole.

Open a terminal and try this command

    echo "options snd-hda-intel model=auto" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

Reboot your PC and see if works OK.

IF NOT, open alsamixer (write the word to a terminal) and see if auto-mute is enabled. (It must be)

Thanks, I solve it by enabling the "HP/Speaker" tab which was muted in alsamixer. But is there anyway to save this setting?

After you make the change that solves the problem , run

    sudo alsactl store

and please mark the question as Solved.
