No sound from my speakers on for Toughbook CF-19

I installed the new update for UBUNTU several days ago (02SEP12) and now the sound does not work even with the headphones, but the headphones do work when logged in to the guest account. I dont understand how to fix this, please help.

Hello,

Check in the volume settings that the sound is not muted for a start.

Can you give the output of:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh
