headphone and speakers working togheter on ubuntu 12.04

install pavucontrol (better control than the default ubuntu one)

then when you want to use the headphones open it up and go to configuration

if ou want to use the headpohnes.. turn off the usb audio (I am asuming usb audio) and/or vice versa

Doesnt work :(

I installed the pavucontrol but dont have any option do disable the speaker audio or just switch to the headphone...

I'm using a PCI sound card, no USB audio.

The pavucontrol just have the Built-in audio option.

I removed the offboard soundcard and tested the onboard soundcard on Windows 7 and works fine, but when I log into Ubuntu thres no sound anymore...

Now I have sound.

I used the "alsamixer", and activated an option like "Independent Headphone" and the sound is working fine right now, but I still cant use my headphone :(

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/kernel-i386
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
or
sudo apt-get install linux

I upgraded Linux Kernel.
