Codec + Mixer: Realtek ALC850 rev 0 - card 0: CK8S [NVidia CK8S], device 0: Intel ICH [NVidia CK8S] - Multimedia audio controller: NVIDIA Corporation nForce3 250Gb AC'97 Audio Controller 10de:00ea (rev a1) - sound output not working on ASUS K8N in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

I recently upgraded my computer system from 10.10 via 11.04 og 11.10 til 12.04 via the standard ubuntu upgrading system.
Then the sound stopped working although it worked all right before the upgrade.
I have tried DVDs Firefox, mplayer and more, but still nothing.
Then i tried step 1, 2, 3 and 4 here:

 (but without the part concerning launchpad), but still no sound.
