speakers OFF at startup after using headphones

Asked by Fiorenzo De Santis on 2012-04-27

after I upgraded to 12.04 I noticed that if you turn off the system (ASUS U36SD) with headphones connected, and then you turn on it again without headphones the speakers will be muted, so you have to enable them manually or to use headphones again

Have you reported a bug?

No I haven't reported a bug yet!

it may be something related to the Bug #914841 "Some systems initially muted (on first boot only)" but I don't know ...

any idea?

I noticed also that when the headphones aren't connected both speaker and headphones are enabled (not muted) in alsamixer.

Is it normal?

Can you help with this problem?
