all media sounds are static tried to troubleshoot but new to ubuntu

All the sound give static tried to troubleshoot to my self but ubunto is not like windows and havent finish with my classes

Why have you not given any details of sound card, make / model of system or in fact anything....?

Can you give the output of:
wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh
