how to disable inbuilt speakers on pc while listening through headphones

i am using IBM A55 thinkcentre pc with ubuntu12.04 installed in it. The problem is i want to dasable my inbuild speakers while i listen through heaphones

echo "options snd-hda-intel position-fix=1" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

Reboot to test
