Always have sound problems with alsa after updating Ubuntu 10.04lts

I have tried all I know how to try to get the alsa driver or pulseaudio working after updating the 10.04 LTS version of Ubuntu. I simply need some help from someome if possible. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Here is the address to what I uploaded as far as the diagnostics that was ran.
It's on a Dell mini 910 with 1.6x2 atom processor n270, built by Dell back in 2008.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa; sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-iquik/alsa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade; sudo apt-get --reinstall install linux-sound-base alsa-base alsa-utils libasound2
