noise in internal microphone

I am using 10.10. internal microphone works, however the recorded sound has lot of noise. any solutions.

Unfortunately it depends a lot on how the machine is designed, and what mechanisms are provided to insulate the noise from things like fans and hard drives (if that is the type of noise you are talking about). Even machines that have the microphone in the lid instead of the case can have a problem with vibrations from fans etc. There can also be an issue with the types of microphone inserts used - they are generally not of very high quality and are not very selective.

The only good solution is to use an external microphone to give the necessary separation, which also gives you the opportunity to purchase something of a bit better quality that will (for example) render voice more realistically.
