USB ports do not work.

I installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my pc but can't get the USB ports to work. The result is that nor my webcam nor my USB phone works. What am I overlooking?

What is the make and model of the system? We need this and you haven't told us.....

The notebook is a IBM Lenova, the webcam is a USB Logitech and the USB phone has no name on it. The Linux system I have installed is Ubuntu 10.4.

Well I will tell you that 11.4 fixes alot of usb and hardware issues. So if you want to that would probably help.
