Acer One 522 - sound / mic problem

Asked by arno

Installled Ubuntu 11.04 on Acer One 522. Sound is not working properly.
Internal Mic is not working.
I get no sound on headphone jack.
Connecting to headphone jack does not disable internal laudspeaker
Acer 522 has just a mono speaker. But instead of a mix of both channels I get just the left channel

I have not tested external mic.

sounds like your settings need adjustment - you should see an icon that looks like a speaker. click it then click sound preferences from the drop-down this will open a gui that allows you to configre the sound card inputs/outputs. If you use a lot of different audio devices, or do a lot of mixing, you might also find gnome ALSA mixer to be handy you can download it from the software center.

Sorry - I played with all the settings behind the Speaker icon.
Also the Gnome-alsa-Mixer doesn't change anything here. I afraid the problems are more serious than not clicking the right button.

Might be a bug. 11.04 is still new.

Can you help with this problem?
