No sound through speakers
I have a HP Pavillion HPE-510t desktop server. I am running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64 bit. I have been unable to get sound working through the speakers (the headphones are fine). I have tried a number of different suggestions on the forum, but to no avail.
Windows shows the driver to be IDT High Definition Audio Codec.
I have already checked that everything is unmuted in alsa-mixer. The controls for IDT ID 76c7 do change the volume level for the headphones.
