Microphone "Electrical" Sounds

Hello,

First of all, try to answer me. It's because of this problem I don't change from Windows to Ubuntu.

I have an Asus X50SL (also known as Asus F5SL) and it has an HDA SiS966 Sound Card with a Realtek ALC660-VD chip. I've installed 10.04 and recently 10.10 but I had and I still have a problem with the microphone. The microphone works, but it has like an electrical noise when I say anything. The problem is not from skype - because the ubuntu sound recorder also records these noises - and it's not from the mic - because it works fine on Windows. Because of this problem, I can't use Skype because my mic sound is too bad and annoying.

Is there anything I can do?

Try:

gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

add this line to the bottom:

options snd-hda-intel model=lenovo

Then reboot to test

I've added the line you said to the file and the problem is still on :/

Now, I have MIcrophone 1, Microphone 2 and Line-In in Sound Manager. I've tried all, and I can still hear the electrical noise when I record something or when I make a Skype call.

Please help :S

Sorry for the double post. I was looking on alsamixer and I can ear my voice on the headphones clearly when I activate the "Mic" channel (which was muted). But, when I record, I ear the electrical noise.
