Your Terminal output shows the following issue:

!ALSA Version
!!------------

Driver version:
Library version: 1.0.23
Utilities version: 1.0.23

!Kernel Information
!!------------------

Kernel release: 2.6.35-24-generic-pae

======================================================================

So the ALSA driver is NOT getting loaded when using kernel version 2.6.35-24-generic-pae

I recommend installing and booting kernel 2.6.35-24-generic instead of kernel 2.6.35-24-generic-pae

Then reboot and retest sound using speakers and headphones.

Can you help with this problem?
