Installed Ubuntu 10.10 poor sound

Asked by oscar m.

Recently Installed Ubuntu 10.10
Sorry about my really redudant question.

I have an HP dv7t (windows7), its has Beats Audio in it, I dont know if that makes a difference but on my windows the audio is really loud, the bass is perfect and all that. When im on ubuntu it sounds really watered down. No bass, and its not even as loud as it should be. Ive tried ALOT of things, searched up here but found nothing that could help since i havent seen anyone with this problem with the laptop model that i have.

Im loving this Ubuntu, my first time linux experience and im glad im experiencing it now. I do want to enjoy it way more with my music and movies being played with crisp sound, its why i bought this laptop in the first place.

Make sure you do not have too many audio working.
If you have more than one they will conflict..
