ubuntu doesn't recognize headphones
My ubuntu system does not recognize headphones. I have to manually switch output to my headphones in "Sound Preferences", I would like this to be auto, How do I fix this?

As I can see, this seems to be a problem with Realtek cards. See if http://

the problem seemed to fix itself after an upgrade but now my built-in microphone won't work D:
