There is no sound in my ubuntu installation

I have compaq presario CQ62 laptop and I installed ubuntu inside windows 7.
but there is no sound. I tried reinstalling the sound drivers. But I cannot trubleshoot the problem.
Please help me to do this.

Hi :)

Please work through these 2 guides to try to sort all your multimedia with the first one and the 2nd should fix it if there are still sound problems after that
