Audio sound preferences problem

Asked by manuel torre

My english is not that good. My problem is that sound doesn't work that well. When I open the sound preferences (when I change line in-unput line-mic options) sound stops working and it doesn't show me anything at "hardware" (as if it stops recognising my sound card or something like that). I have Ubuntu 10.04, and something like this happened to me when I had 9.10, but after trying make the line-in work. It doesn't work here neither. :S
I'd be grateful if you could help me.
Manuel.

Hi :)

Please can you work through this trouble-shooting guide?
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure

Also just working through the Medibuntu page usually fixes most multimedia problems

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

hi again :)

Also 2 points
1. Your English is fine, don't worry
2. Please try re-posting the question but use your own language. Ubuntu has people from all over the world so hopefully someone would be able to help you in your favourite language :)

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
