I no longer have network connections in system preferences menu

Asked by Guy M

Just installed ubuntu 10.04 and I don't have the network connections tab in system preferences any more but I have the network proxy tab. I'm using wicd instead of nm I don't know if this makes a difference or not. This was a clean install leaving my home dir alone.

Thank you
Guy

Did you check if it is marked in the main menu?
System preferences -> main menu
Section: system preferences
Network connections = enabled

The cmd is:
nm-connection-editor
