On-line game compatibility

I had to replace the HD in my son's laptop and now need to install an OS. He's 12 and plays LOTRO daily, so he needs something that is glitch free. I would like to use Ubuntu. Is it compatible?

I haven't run or installed anything yet. Are you saying I should install Ubuntu and then LOTRO and see how they work?

You can test it by booting to the liveCD and installing flash plugin, you can then see how it will run.
