Can not see video on you tube.

I am unable to see video on you tube or any other streaming files. Videos on local hard drive play fine. Using Ubuntu 11.10.
Have re-installed adobe .

try this in terminal
copy paste command and start firefox

export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 && firefox

Unfortunately that has not worked. All I got was the following error.

"(firefox:2201): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "pixmap", "

ok try this

CLTR+ALT+T (it will open a terminal for you )

then copy paste following command

sudo aptitude purge mozilla-plugin-gnash

it will ask you for password please provide your password by which you logged in.

then start firefox .. hope it will work
